Rebecca Dalton scored twice as the Chestnut Hill College Women's Soccer team won their third straight game, defeating Holy Family University 3-0 Tuesday night at Victory Field in Lafayette Hill.
The Griffins improve to 6-6 overall and 6-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. The Tigers fall to 1-9-3 overall and 1-3-3 in league games. The win moves the Griffins into second place in the CACC league standings with 18 points, just one point behind league lead Jefferson.
Dalton put the Griffins on the board in the second half, fielding a long kick from Stella McCallion in the 56th minute of action. Twelve minutes later at the start of the 68th minute, Dalton took another long pass from McCallion and sent the ball past Tiger goalkeeper Jaina Preuhs for a 2-0 lead.  Alyssa DeGeorge added the Griffins final goal in the 87th minute with Abby Collins earning the assist.
The Griffins finished the game with 13 shots on goal while their defense held the Tigers to just three total shot, all on frame. Dalton finished with four shots on goal while Virginia Perry added three. DeGeorge and Hayden Johnston had two shots on goal apiece.
Haley Esposito earned her first win of the season, making two save while playing the second half. Ellie Stratz started and made one first half save as the duo produced their second combined shutout of the season.
The women's soccer team returns to action on Saturday, September 25, 2025 when they host Post University at victory Field. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m.
