Box Score The Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team traveled to face a strong Adelphi University team Thursday night with the Griffins falling to the Panthers 3-0 in Garden city, New York.
The Griffins record now stands at 4-15 overall while Adelphi improves to 16-7.
Nicole Dimiris and Sadie Bayko led Chestnut Hill with six kills apiece. Micah McKenzie and Kate Hanley added four kills each. Sofia Rodriguez led the team with 17 assists setting the Griffin offense.
Four different Chestnut Hill players recorded one service ace apiece:Â Maya Hopson, Lilian Bandel, Katelyn Dougherty and Rodriguez.
On the defensive end, Alex Crespin and Sarah Allen led the team with five digs apiece while Bandel, Bayko and Rodriguez chipped in four each respectively. McKenzie and Hopson had two blocks apiece.
For the game, Adelphi recorded 35 kills to Chestnut Hill's 23 and had a better hitting percentage (.275 to .036). The Panthers also had a slight edge in aces (5-4) and the edge in dig (35-27). Both teams finished with three team blocks apiece.
The women's volleyball team returns to action on Saturday, October 25, 2025 when they travel to face Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut. Tipoff is set for 12:00 p.m.
