The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team suffered their fourth straight loss Wednesday afternoon, falling to Wilmington University 7-2 at the WU Athletic Complex in Newark, Delaware.
The Griffins fall to 6-8-1 overall and 2-5-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Wildcats improve to 9-2-4 overall and 4-2-3 in league play.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first half, scoring their first two goals in the 18th minute of play, adding a third at the start of the 25th minute and their fourth at the start of the 31st minute.
The more goals by Wilmington in the first 11 minutes of the second increased the hosts lead to 7-0.  The Griffins got on the board in the 63rd minute when Johan Hutson took a pass from Aiden Norton and shot it past WU goalkeeper William Kiers to make the score 7-1.
Mohamed Bility tallied the final goal of the game in the 69th minute with Andres Gomez gaining the assist on the play.
Max Bond  took the loss in net for the Griffins recording five saves.
For the game, the Wildcats outshot the Griffins 27-10 (12-5 on frame) and had eight corner kicks to the Griffins three.
The men's soccer team returns to action on Saturday, November 1, 2025 for their final home game of the season, taking on the University of Bridgeport  at Victory Field. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
