Six members of the Chestnut Hill College Women's Soccer team were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Soccer Academic All-District® Team in an announcement Tuesday afternoon by the CSC Academic All-America® Committee.
Three seniors and three juniors highlight the six Griffin athletes honored. They include seniors Rebecca Dalton, Virginia Perry and Alyssa DeGeorge. Juniors honored include Shaina Klos, Payton Lennon and Chelsea Ritter. Dalton and Perry are become the programs first two three-time Academic All-District Honorees and also advanced to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
To be eligible for Academic All-District® accolades, student-athletes must be at least at sophomore athletically and academically, appear in 90 percent of their team's contests or start in 66% and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better. Graduate students must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA in both their undergraduate and graduate programs.
The six honorees were all named D2 Athletic Directors /Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award winners for 2024-25 with Perry and Dalton also received the honor in 2023-24. Dalton, Perry, DeGeorge, Klos and Lennon have also been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Athletic Honor Roll in each of the past four semesters with Ritter earning the honor this past spring after transferring into the college.
Dalton, a criminal justice major, played and started in all 18 games this season, earning CACC Second Team All-conference accolades. She led the team in goals (8), points (18), game winning goals (2) and shots (60). In addition to the above honors, Dalton is a two-time CACC All-Academic team honoree, was named to the Dean's List four times and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society in spring of 2025.
Perry is also a Criminal Justice major and played and started in all 18 games this season. She led the team with three assists on the season and also scored three goals to rank fourth on the team and earn her first CACC All-conference honor as a second team selection. A two-time CACC all-Academic Team honoree in addition to the above accolades, Perry has earned Dean's List honors in each of her first six semesters and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma in spring of 2025.
DeGeorge is an early education major and played and started in all 18 games this season. She finished the year with two goals and one assist In addition to the above accolades, DeGeorge has earned Dean's List honors twice and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma in spring of 2025.
Klos, athletically a redshirt sophomore, is a marketing major and has been named to the Dean's List in each of her first four semesters. She's played in all 18 games this season, recording one assist.
Lennon, a health science major, has also played in all 18 games this season. She has also earned Dean's List honors in every semester while at Chestnut Hill.
Ritter joined the Griffins for the spring of 2025 semester after playing two seasons at Kutztown University. She played and started in 14 games this season and recorded two goals and one assist. The junior forward earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2025 semester.
Academic All-District® honorees are reviewed by a group of Academic All-America® committee members for consideration for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® national ballot, where first, second and third team Academic All-America® honorees are chosen by the CSC Division II membership and the Academic All-America® core committee. Honorees will be announced in December.
