The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis team lost a hard-fought match Wednesday afternoon, 4-3 to Millersville University at the McComsey tennis Courts in Millersville, Pennsylvania.
The Griffins fall to 3-8 with the loss. The marauders improve to 6-5.
The Marauders swept all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead in the contest. The closest match came at #1 doubles where Ewan Brown and Pablo Cervera lost to Lino Moran and Sebas Castro 6-4.
Brown lost his #3 singles match to Jasper deKoning 6-1, 6-0 to give Millersville a 2-0 lead and Morin defeated Filippo Relecom 6-2, 6-4 at #1 singles to increase the Marauders' lead to 3-0.
The Griffins got on the board when Alessio Lefevre earned a 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 win over Victor Suarez at #2 singles. Siddharth Malik then brought the Griffins within one, 3-2 with a 7-6, 6-4 win over Paul Bagnouis at #6 singles.
Millersville clinched the match as Arnaud Vangenechten lost his #4 singles match 6-2, 7-5 to Castro. Enzo Puppi scored the final point for the Griffins, defeating Sandur Wulf 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 at #5 singles.
The men's tennis team returns to action on Saturday April 5, 2025, when they host Jefferson University at the CHC Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. – weather permitting.
