The offensive struggles continued for the Chestnut Hill College Women's Soccer team Saturday afternoon as they fell to Mercy University 3-0 at Mercy Field in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
Mercy ups their record to 3-0 while the Griffins fall to 0-4 as they head into conference play next week.
The Mavericks scored their first goal in the 36th minute and took a 1-0 lead at halftime.  The hosts followed with to goals in the final 20 minutes to round out the scoring.
Ellie Stratz had 11 second half saves and allowed the two goals in the period. Haley Esposito had two saves and allowed one goal.
Lauren Sullivan and Brigid McDonald had shots on goal for Chestnut Hill. The Griffins were outshot on net 16-2 for the afternoon.
The women's soccer team returns to action on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, when the host Goldey-Beacom College in their first conference contest of the season. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
