The Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team hosted Queens College on Friday for their first dual match of the 2025-26 season, falling 6-1 to the Knights at the CHC Tennis Courts.
Queen's took the doubles point to start the match by winning the #1 and #2 doubles contests. Noah Cutting returned to action at Chestnut Hill after last playing in the spring of 2024 and teamed up with Augustin Daubannay at #1 doubles, falling to Tim Andersson and David Cerne, 6-4. Siddharth Malik and Ewan Brown dropped their #2 doubles match by an identical 6-4 score to Pablo Cerrano and Caleb Brightman, giving the Knights a 1-0 lead in the match.
Queens went on to win four straight singles matches at the  #2, #4, #5 and #6 slots to take a 5-0 lead before Enzo Puppi put the Griffins on the board with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Brightman at #3 singles. Alessio Lefebvre then dropped the final match of the day, falling to Adam Laur, 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-8) at #1 singles.
The Men's Tennis team will return to action on Monday, September 22, 2025, with a match against St. Thomas Aquinas College. First serve is at 3:30 p.m.
