The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis team dropped their second consecutive match Monday afternoon, falling to Saint Thomas Aquinas College, 6-1, at the CHC Tennis Courts.
The Griffins fall to 0-2 on the season. The Spartans are 1-0
STAC opened the match winning two of the three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. The Griffins' lone win came at #2 doubles where Augustin Daubannay and Alessio Lefebvre defeated Theo Renoux and Henry Ronnberg, 6-4.
Ronnberg was the first singles winner on the afternoon, defeating Pablo Cervera 6-2, 6-3 at #2 singles to give STACÂ a 2-0 lead. The Spartans won four of the next five singles contests with the Griffins lone win coming at #3 singles. Enzo Puppi earned a 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 1-0 (10-7) win over Eric Victor Tauson in that match to make the final score 6-1.
The men's tennis team returns to action at the ITA Atlantic Regional Tournament, hosted by Bloomsburg University. The tournament runs from October 2-5. Several Griffin men's tennis players will also be playing in the St. Joseph's University Invitational, running from October 3-5, 2025.
