The Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer kicked off their 2025 season Thursday night, falling 2-0 to Lock Haven University on a rainy night at Victory Field in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania
Terrance Doe and Abdoulaye Kamagate led the Griffins with two shots apiece with Kamagate and Luke Bodziak recording shots on goal. Rodrigo Artiga has six saves in goal for Chestnut Hill
The two teams battled and kept each other off the scoreboard for nearly the entire first half. The Bald Eagles had an opportunity to score in the 37th minute when they were awarded a penalty kick but Griffin goalkeeper Rodrigo Artiga made a great save on Carter Rosno's kick, keeping the game scoreless.
The Bald Eagles got on the board in the 43rd minute when Patricio Zapata drove one past Artiga to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
Lock Haven added an insurance goal in the second half with a goal in the 54th minute to increase their lead to 2-0. The Bald Eagles kept the Griffins off the board the rest of the way to secure the win.
The men's soccer team returns to action on Saturday, September 6, 2025 when they travel to face Shippensburg University. Kickoff time is 4:30 p.m.
