Griffins Fall at Shippensburg

Shippensburg University exploded for five second half goals as they handed the Chestnut Hill College Men's Soccer team their second loss of the season 6-1 Saturday afternoon at David See field in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

The Griffins fall to 0-2 on the  season while the Raiders with their season opening win are now 1-0.

Terrance Doe scored the only goals for the Griffins with Kervening Thelistin getting the assist on the play. Seven different players had at least one shot on goal for Chestnut Hill with Mohamed Bility leading the way with two. Rodrigo Artiga started the game and played the first half, giving up one goal and recording two saves. Max Bond took over the netminding duties in the second half, giving up the five second half goals while recording four saves to take the loss.

The Raiders broke a scoreless tie with just 15 seconds to go in the first half. Doe evened the score at 1-1 early in the 63rd minute. The tie was short-lived however as SU's Anthony Weekley tallied the go-ahead score just 14 seconds after Doe's score to put the Raiders back on top 2-1.

The Raiders went on to score four more goals before the final whistle s\blew with Kyle Ganley netting the final three scores to give Shippensburg the 6-1 win.

Shippensburg outshot the Griffins 19-16  and recorded 12 shots on goal to eight for Chestnut Hill.

The men's soccer team returns to action on Wednesday September 10, 2025, when they travel to face Pace University in New Rochelle , New York. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
