The Chestnut Hill College Women's Soccer team dropped a hard fought decision on the road at Pace University Sunday evening, falling to the Setters 1-0 at Northwell Stadium in Pleasantville, New York.
The Griffins fall to 0-2 on the season while Pace improves to 2-0.
Chestnut Hill tallied six shots in the contest with four of those on net. The Setters finished with 19 shots (seven on net). Pace scored their lone goal just 6:12 into the contest on a shot from Ava Viebrock that got past  CHC goaltender Haley Esposito.
Esposito finished the game with three saves in 51 minutes of action. Ellie Stratz entered the game and played the final 39 minutes and also recorded three saves.
Lauren Sullivan and Rebecca Dalton had two shots apiece (one shot on goal apiece) while Hayden Johnston and Chelsea Ritter each recorded a shot on goal.
 The women's soccer team returns to action on Wednesday September 10, 2025, when they travel to play the College of Staten Island. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
