The Chestnut Hill college women's volleyball team dropped their fifth straight match, falling to Jefferson University, Tuesday night at Herb magee Court in Philadelphia.
The Griffins fall to 7-18 overall and 2-10 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. The host Rams improve to 21-5 overall and 11-1 in league contests.
The Rams opened the match with a 25-12 win in the first set before sweeping the next two to take the match 25-14, 25-12.
Kass Kimmel led the Griffins with ten kills and also had the best hitting percentage at .161 (10-5-31). Sarah Allen had two of the Griffins' three aces while Sofia Rodriguez led the team with 19 assists setting the CHC offense.
Defensively Rachel Mace led Chestnut Hill with 16 digs. Alex Crespin and Macayla Lindner had six digs apiece. Kayle Arozio had two blocks.
For the game, Jefferson recorded 41 kills and hit .344 to the Griffins' Â 21 kills (.019 attack%). Jefferson also held the advantage in aces (7-3), digs (58-39) and team blocks (5-2).
The women's volleyball team returns to action on Thursday, October 29, 2026 when they host Adelphi University in their last non-conference match of the season.
