The Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team dropped their final conference match of the season Wednesday afternoon, falling to Jefferson University, 5-2 at the CHC Tennis Courts in Philadelphia.
The Griffins finish their conference season with a 7-5 conference record  and a 9-5 overall mark. Jefferson is 10-1 in league play and overall.
Chestnut Hill grabbed their first point of the day in the doubles competition, sweeping all three matches.
Tia Kaukenas and Fabienne Lahn started the sweep with a 6-4 win over Marely Alvarado and Miriam Faisel at #3 doubles. Veronika Lundgren and Milica Zagorac followed with a 6-4 win over Anouk Oderkerk and Alycia Veroux and #2 doubles to clinch the point.  The Griffins' #1 doubles team of Elena Arenas Guisasola and Lilian Bandel completed the sweep with a 7-5 win over Madina Omarova and Kalomoira Ralli.
The Rams went on to win five of the six singles contests to clinch the match Kaukenas earned the Griffins' only singles point with a 7-6, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6) win over Alvarado at #6 singles.
The women's tennis team returns to action  when the compete at the ITA East Regional Championships in Flushing, new York, starting on Friday, October 9, 2026.
