Griffins Close out Season as they Honor their Senior Players

The Chestnut Hill College Men's Basketball team closed out their 2025-26 season Saturday afternoon as dropped their final game to first place Felician University 90-72 at Sorgenti Arena.

Prior to the start of the game, the athletics department and the men's basketball team honored their three senior players in a brief ceremony: senior guard Marshall Baker  along with forwards Landon Shivers and Alejandro Redondo Cybak.    The three honorees were presented with gifts from the team and the department as their contributions to the program and accomplishments both on and off the court were read off  for all to hear.

Shivers closed out his collegiate career with a bang, scoring a career-high 24 points (8-12 FG; 4-5 3FG; 4-4 FT). Cybak joined Shivers in double figures with 12 points  and grabbed ten rebounds to record his league leading 11th double-double of the season.  Camden Burns scored a season-high nine points off the bench (4-8 FG).

Jeremiah Gorham led the Griffins with four assists while Amari Dow added three.  Baker had two steals.

The Golden Falcons scored the first six points with the Griffins following with the next seven points to take a 7-6 lead with Shivers capping the run with a three-point basket.  Felician then exploded with an 18-0 run to take a 24-7 lead with 12:15 left.  Malcolm Day broke the run with a three point basket at the 11:05 mark.  Felician increased their lead to as many as many as 24 points and led 50-27 at halftime.

In the second half, Felician continued to dominate and the Griffins were unable to bring the deficit down under 20 until the final minutes of the game, closing out the contest with a 14-6 run.  Shivers had six of the points and the Griffins converted eight of nine free throws.
