The Chestnut Hill College Women's Bowling Team was back in action on Saturday as they took part on the Second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Meet of the season in Elmwood Park, New Jersey and hosted by Felician University.
Saturday was the traditional portion of the meet with the Griffins finishing the day 0-5 in competition with their fellow conference teams. The Griffins are now 3-12 in league play.
Chestnut Hill opened the day with a 900-756 loss to Dominican University. Victoria Forbes led the Griffins with a score of 174 with Cora Olsen following at 157. Forbes was perfect when facing makable spares and single pin spares in the match.
The second match saw the Griffins fall to Holy Family University 836-711. Olsen bowled a 180 while Taylor Graham had a score of 158. Graham, Olsen and Forbes were all perfect when facing single pin spares in the contest.
The Griffins match against Wilmington was their closest of the afternoon, as the Wildcats narrowly edged the Griffins 840-828. Olsen again led the Griffins with a 180 score while Alexis Horton and Forbes rolled scores of 174 and 173 respectively.Â
Caldwell University defeated the Griffins 813-661 in the fourth match of the day. Forbes led the team with a score of 160. Jess Bolling and Forbes were both perfect in their single pin spare attempts.
Olsen had the Griffins' high match of the day in the final contest as the Chestnut Hill fell to host Felician 967-726. Olsen filled eight of ten frames and along with Forbes was perfect in single pin spare attempts.
The women's bowling team concludes action at the CACC Meet on Sunday with five Baker format matches.
