The Chestnut Hill College Softball team dropped a pair of games to Post University Monday afternoon, losing the opener 7-0 and game two 11-2 at Lamoy Field in Waterbury, Connecticut.
These games were originally schedyled to be played on Saturday, March 28 but were postponed due to frigid weather conditions.
The Griffins fall to 4-12 overall and 0-4 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. The eagles improve to 5-17 overall and 3-1 in league play.
Post pitcher Megan McGurk tossed a no-hitter against the Griffins in game one, with Chestnut Hill managing just four baserunners via walks  and a hit batter.
Belle Tetreault took the loss, giving up seven runs on ten hits while striking out three.
In game two, the Griffins put together four hits in the third inning to score their only two runs as the Eagles pulled away in the bottom of the third with seven runs en route to the 11-2 win in five innings.
Rebecca Cessna took the loss, allowing nine runs (four earned) over 2.1 innings pitched and striking out three.  Braylie LaFisca pitched the final 1.2 innings, giving up just one earned run (two total).
Trailing 3-0 heading into the third inning, Jenn Pokropinski got the Griffins offense started with a one out single through the left side. Aubrey Cammuso followed with a single and Brynn Pollard delivered a two-out single to load the bases. Pearl McKay then singled through the left side to score Pokropinski and Moira Maw drew a nine-pitch walk to bring home Cammuso with the Griffins' second run, cutting the Eagles lead to 3-2.
Two Griffin errors in the bottom of the third and five Eagle hits (four singles and a double) led to seven runs for the hosts as they took a commanding 10-2 lead. Post added one more run in the fourth to round out the scoring.
The softball team returns to action on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 when they host Jefferson University at the CHC Softball Field. Â Â First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
