The Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis team was recently named as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division II all-Academic Team for the 2025-26 season.
In addition to earning ITA all-Academic Team status, six members of the men's tennis team were named as ITA Scholar-Athletes. A total of 70 teams across Division II were named as All-Academic Teams and 548 athletes earned ITA Division II Scholar Athlete honors
In order to be named an ITA Scholar Athlete a tennis player must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form. Programs earn ITA All-Academic Team honors by having a team grade point average of 3.2 or better for the current academic year
This year's honor is the tenth consecutive year that the Griffins have earned the honor and also the 11th time in the last 12 seasons dating back to 2015 that the Griffins have earned ITA all-Academic Team status. As a team, the Griffins produced a team g.p.a. of 3.528 for the 2025-26 academic year. Chestnut Hill was one of just two Pennsylvania State Athletic conference schools to earn ITA all-Academic Team honors this year and their six athletes were among just 15 in the PSAC to earn ITA Scholar Athlete status.
The six Griffin scholar-athlete honorees include graduate student Noah Cutting, junior Filippo Relecom and sophomores Ewan Brown, Enzo Puppi, Alessio Lefebvre and Augustin Daubannay.
Cutting is pursuing his master's degree in educational studies after having graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a degree in business administration and management in 2024. He becomes just the second player in program history to earn ITA Scholar Athlete accolades four-times. This past season he was also named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team, the PSAC Academic All-Conference team and the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-district® team. Cutting is also a two-time CACC All-Academic team and D2ADA Academic Achievement Award honoree and is a member of two honor societies, Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society and Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society, being inducted into both in 2023.
Relecom and Puppi are both Business administration and Management majors and earn ITA scholar Athlete honors for the second time. Relecom earned CACC Academic honor Roll accolades in his first two semesters and Dean's List accolades this past spring. Puppi has earned Dean's List honors three times in his first four semesters and was selected to the CSC Academic All-District® Men's Tennis team this past May.
Brown, a marketing major, was also selected to the CSC Academic All-District® Men's Tennis team this past May. He earns ITA Scholar Athlete honors for the first time. Brown has also earned Dean's List honors three times in his first four semesters.
Lefebvre and Daubannay are also first time ITA scholar athlete honorees. The two athletes are Business Administration and Management majors. Lefebvre has earned Dean's List honors three times in his first four semesters while Daubannay, who transferred into Chestnut Hill in the fall of 2025 has earned Dean's List accolades in each of his first two semesters.
The Griffins' men's tennis team is now the fifth Chestnut Hill team to earn all-Academic Team status from their respective sports association for the 2025-26 academic year, joining the women's tennis team (ITA); the men's lacrosse Team (USILA); the men's basketball team (NABC) and the women's bowling team (NTCA).
