The Chestnut Hill College Men's Cross Country Team took home a fifth place finish at the WCU Purple and Gold Cross Country Open on Saturday in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
The Griffins finished the race with 112 points, 18 behind fourth place Penn State- Brandywine. West Chester University won the 4,000-meter race with 23 points.
Jasper Faustino led the Griffins placing ninth overall with a finish time of 13:48.2. His time is the second fastest 4,000-meter time in program history, bettered only by Mike Cavanaugh's 13:45.54 set back in 2007.
Ryan O'Hara was the second Griffin to finish, placing 16th overall with a time of 14:50.4. his time is the eighth fastest 4K time in program history. Jeremiah Smith was the next Chestnut Hill finisher, placing 37th with a time of 18:09.5
Marvin Dozier and Moussa Coulibaly rounded out the Griffins five finishers placing 42nd and 44th overall with times of 19:18.5 and 20:05.4
The men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, October 10, 2026 when they compete at the NJIT Invitational at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey.
