The Chestnut Hill College Women's Cross Country team raced to a fourth place finish at Saturday's WCU Purple and golf Cross Country Open in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

The Griffins finished with 111 points, four ahead of fifth place Penn state Abington and 46 behind third place Georgian Court University.  West Chester University won the 4,000-meter race with 23 points.

Soleil Casseus was the Griffins top finisher at the event, placing 13^th overall with a time of 17:52.5.  Mya Robinson followed in 18^th place, crossing the finish line in 18:41.3

Yorehiny Monero, Ormani Freeman and Gesielyz Sanchez rounded out the Griffins competitors in the race.  Monero was 26^th with a time of 23:15.3 while Freeman, competing in her first collegiate cross country race, finished 29^th with a time of 26:12.5.  Sanchez was 34^th with a time of 30:10.9.
