Chestnut Hill College Athletics

SOPHOMORE (2010) – Crane started nine games at shortstop, while appearing in 13 games overall. He batted .333 (11-for-33) with six runs scored, recorded two runs-batted-in (RBI), and stole four bases (4-for-6, 66.7%).

SENIOR (2012) – Returning to Chestnut Hill College after a year with Bucks County Community College, Crane saw time as the Griffins starting shortstop and closer. At the plate, he carried a .281 (43-for-149) batting average with 18 runs, three doubles, a triple, and six walks. Crane totaled a team-leading 28 RBI and stole 15 bases in 20 attempts (15-of-20, 75.0%). On the mound, Crane made 11 relief appearances and finished with two saves on a 4.76 earned-run-average (ERA). In 22.2 innings, he allowed 12 earned runs on 20 hits and ten walks while striking out 11
 
GRADUATE (2013) - While earning recognition for his work in the classroom as a College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) Academic All-American, Crane served as the Griffins everyday shortstop. He offered a .270 (43-for-159) batting average, 26 runs, four doubles, 24 RBI, 12 walks, and 16 stolen bases (16-for-20, .800). On the mound, Crane totaled 20 innings out of the bullpen. He carried a 7.20 ERA with a 2-0 record and four saves. Crane also received academic recognition from the Division II Athletic Directors Association (ADA), the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), the Philadelphia-Area Sports Information Directors Association (PhillySIDA), and the Chestnut Hill College Department of Athletics.
