Biography

SOPHOMORE (2010-2011) - Parapouras won her first 15 singles matches before closing out the season 17-1 at number three singles. She also teamed with Danielle Knott to provide a 13-8 record at number two doubles, they were 14-8 overall. For her efforts, Parapouras was named the league's Rookie of the Week on September 28, 2010, and she was an Honorable Mention for the award on October 12, 2010. She was recognized with an All-CACC Honorable Mention at season's end. Academically, Parapouras garnered recognition from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) (Fall), Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), and Chestnut Hill College (Fall 2010 & Spring 2011).

JUNIOR (2011-2012) - Parapouras put together another nearly perfect season as she finished the year with a 23-2 (.920) record at number three singles and a 21-5 (.808) record at number two doubles. At the year's end, Parapouras was recognized as the team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the CHC Athletic Awards Reception and by the CACC as an all-conference Second Team selection. She earned a CACC Player of the Week award on September 13, 2011. Academically, Parapouras was named to the CHC Athletic Academic Honor Rolls (Fall 2011 & Spring 2012), the CACC Fall All-Academic Team, the Athletic Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Team, and the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team.

SENIOR (2012-2013) – Parapouras earned her third straight selection to the All-CACC Team, earning her second consecutive Second Team honor in her senior season. She was honored with the team’s Coach’s Award and earned a 22-4 solo record (21-3 @ #3) while ranking as the ITA East Region’s #19 ranked individual player. Parapouras also produced in doubles play, partnering with fellow senior Anastasiya Shcherbakova (Minsk, Belarus) for the ITA East Region’s #4 doubles ranking (11-7 @ #1). She was the first Griffin to reach the 100 career wins, doing so with a 3-6, 7-5, and 10-5, number three singles victory over Florida Institute of Technology's (FIT) freshman Chloe Chanley (Louisville, Ky.) on February 23, 2012. She was the CACC Player of the Week on September 18, 2012, and she earned academic recognition on the CACC All-Academic Team (Fall 2012), the Chestnut Hill College Academic Honor Roll (Fall 2012 and Spring 2013), the Philadelphia-Area Sports Information Directors’ Association (Philly-SIDA), and the ITA.
