Biography
FRESHMAN (2010) - Markowski provided a solid freshman season with 123 kills and 42 blocks. Her top performance came with 12 kills and four blocks against Marywood University at the Neuman University Tournament on September 18. She recorded a career high, 13 kills against Goldey-Beacom College on October 14.
SOPHOMORE (2011) - Markowski returned for her sophomore season as a dominant force at the net, recording 46 blocks for the Griffins. Markowski was not only impressive on defense, but she proved to be extremely valuable when the Griffins went on the offensive, recording 178 kills on the team's best hitting percentage, .200 (178K-67E-504TA). Markowski’s most impressive defensive performance was against West Chester University on September 9, where she recorded 4 blocks.
JUNIOR (2012) - Markowski provided a breakout season with 160 kills, a team-high .265 (160K-52E-407TA) hitting percentage, and a top-five ranking among the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) blocking leaders (5th, 0.89 blocks/set). She started 29 out of the 30 matches in which she appeared and she contributed 2.19 points-per-set (PPS) with the team fourth highest kill rate (1.62 kills/set) and a team-high 88 blocks (26 solo).
SENIOR (2013) – In her senior campaign, Markowski set the program records for solo blocks in a single season (48), career solo blocks (118), career block assists (145), and career total blocks (263). She totaled 222.5 points with 155 kills on a .222 (155K-57E-441TA) hitting percentage and 87 blocks (48BS-39BA). Markowski also recorded four assists and 30 digs while starting in 29 out of the 30 scheduled matches.
