Biography

FRESHMAN (2010-2011) - Dennis was a significant contributor to the women's tennis team's first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Tournament appearance. She posted a 16-5 individual record at number two singles and she teamed with Shcherbakova for an 18-3 record at number one doubles. As a doubles team, Dennis and Shcherbakova ranked #3 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II East Region. Dennis earned an All-CACC Honorable Mention and was named the ITA East Region Rookie of the Year. She was the CACC Player of the Week on September 9, 2010, and the CACC Rookie of the Week on October 5, 2010. In the classroom, Dennis was recognized on the ITA All-Academic Team and the Chestnut Hill College Academic Honor Rolls for the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semesters. She was also awarded the women's tennis Coach's Award at season's end.

SOPHOMORE (2011-2012) - Now serving as a co-captain, Dennis followed her impressive freshman campaign with an All-CACC First Team sophomore season. She went 16-8 (.667) at number two singles and 1-0 (1.000) at number one singles to finish the year 17-8 (.680) as an individual. She earned a #20 individual ranking in the Campbell/ITA East Regional Rankings on March 29, 2012, where she also garnered a #5 ranking as a doubles team with Nastia Shcherbakova. Dennis and Shcherbakova were 16-8 (.667) at number one doubles. The Griffins ended their season as the first Chestnut Hill College sports program to reach a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Championship Tournament, after narrowly falling 5-3 to Southern New Hampshire University in the NCAA DII East Region Preliminaries. She also continued to work hard in the classroom, earning recognition on the 2011 CACC Fall All-Academic Team, the Chestnut Hill College Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters, and as a 2011-2012 ITA Scholar-Athlete and a 2011-2012 Athletic Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achiever.

JUNIOR (2012-2013) – Dennis earned her second All-CACC Second Team selection while earning a 15-9 singles record (12-7 @ #2) as the ITA East Region’s #13 individual competitor. She also teamed with sophomore Morgan Oechsle (Coopersburg, Pa.) for a 10-6 record at number two doubles and a #7 ITA East Regional ranking. Her final individual win of the regular season, 6-2, 6-0 over Philadelphia University’s freshman Kaylee Fennern (Idaho Falls, Idaho), served as the 100th of her collegiate career, making her the third Griffin to reach the milestone during the 2012-2013 season. She earned academic recognition on the CACC All-Academic Team (Fall 2012), the Chestnut Hill College Academic Honor Roll (Fall 2012 and Spring 2013), the Philadelphia-Area Sports Information Directors’ Association (Philly-SIDA), and the ITA.

SENIOR (2013-2014) – Serving as team captain again, Dennis finished 13-10 overall (13-9 at number four singles) in individual matches and posted a 19-9 mark at number two doubles with sophomore Iman Williams-Mulesa (Pickering, Ontario). Dennis and Williams-Mulesa were ranked #10 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Rankings, and Dennis also represented the Griffins on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Tournament Team. She finished her career atop the program’s all-time lists in doubles wins (76) and overall wins (139). Dennis earned academic recognition on the Chestnut Hill College Academic Honor Roll (Fall 2013) and was named a Division II Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achiever (2012-2013). Dennis was selected as the Chestnut Hill College Female Athletic Director's Award Winner, the ITA East Region's Female Senior of the Year, and was the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sportsmanship and Leadership Award winner.
