PRE-CHC – Murphy was a dominate forward for Mohawk High School, the 2012-2013 New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Section III Runner-Up. Averaging 24.9 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 3.3 steals-per-game as a senior, Murphy is a 6-5; 207-pound guard is expected to have an immediate impact on the Griffins hardwood production. He finished his high school career as the Mohicans all-time leading scorer (1,672 points) and top single-game scorer (41 points). He scored 38 of the Mohicans points in the 68-65 NYSPHSAA Section III Championship loss to Beaver River.

FRESHMAN (2013-2014) – Murphy started 14 contests and played in ten others (24gp-14gs) in a freshman campaign that offered 4.3 points-per-game (PPG) and 3.7 rebounds-per-game (RPG). He also recorded 19 assists, five blocks, and 17 steals.
