Biography
FRESHMAN (2010) - Winkelspecht shared team Co-Most Valuable Player (Co-MVP) honors with Joe Rucinsky after leading the Griffins statistically with 26 goals, 11 assists, 37 points, and 123 shots. He also grabbed 41 ground balls and caused ten turnovers. Winkelspecht was named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Rookie of the Week on March 29.
SOPHOMORE (2011) – While serving as a team captain, Winkelspecht continued the spectacular start to his Griffin career with 44 points in sophomore season; earning him an Honorable Mention to the All-East Coast Conference (ECC) team. He finished the season ranked second on the team in goals (26), third in assists (18), third in ground balls (35), and third in shots (73). Winkelspecht recorded three games with at least three goals, including a five-goal, seven-point performance at Molloy College on April 30. He also recorded two game-winning goals, the first at Wheeling Jesuit on April 3 and the second in the Griffins 14-13 win over #5 Dowling College on April 23.
SENIOR (2014) – Winkelspecht enjoyed his first healthy season in three years, starting in all 13 games (13GP-13GS) and totaling 29 points on ten goals and 19 assists. The four-year captain also provided 23 ground balls and caused four turnovers in his swan song performance. He earned academic recognition on the Chestnut Hill College Athletics Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 Academic Honor Rolls.
