SOPHOMORE (2014) – Purnell was a critical member of the Griffins first-ever track and field squad, serving as one of its top sprinters and middle distance runners. Purnell scored a pair of victories by placing first in the 110 Meter Hurdles (22.94) and anchoring the Men's 4x100 Meter Relay team alongside senior
Richard Browne, freshman
Adrian Adams, and junior
Adam Drabinski at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships, where the Griffins went on to garner the team title. Purnell also placed 4th in the 400 Meter Hurdles (1:05.96) and 6th in the 400 Meter Dash (55.92). The Griffin men's 4x400 Meter Relay team of Purnell, juniors

Michael Hester and Adams won their heat in a season's best and Penn Relay qualifying time of 3:38.80, placing 6
th overall at the Ursinus College Open (2/14/14), where Purnell also won his heat of the Men's 400 in 55.49.
JUNIOR (2015) – Purnell turned in a dozen top-ten finishes while competing with on various relay teams and mid-distance runs. On the 4x4 relay, Purnell placed 6
th (3:59.38) at the St. Joseph’s College Winter Invitational on January 17, 2
nd (3:31.94) at the Gwynedd-Mercy College Mid-Week Twilight Invitational on April 15, and 4
th (3:39.67) at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship on May 3. With the 4x8 relay, he placed 5
th (9:19.69) at the Frank Colden Invitational on February 7, with the 4x1 relay he enjoyed a 7
th (46.32) place finish at the Gwynedd-Mercy College Mid-Week Twilight Invitational and 5
th (46.60) at the CACC Championship, and with the 4x2 relay he registered a 9
th (1:40.51) place at the Molloy College Invitational on February 13. Individually, Manon also recorded top-ten finishes in the 400 meter hurdle (4
th, 1:02.66) at the Gwynedd-Mercy College Mid-Week Twilight Invitational, the 400 meter hurdle (4
th, 1:01.34) and the 400 meter dash (2
nd, 54.92) at the University of Delaware Classic, and the 400 meter hurdle (4
th, 1:01.97) and 400 meter dash (7
th, 55.39) at the CACC Championship.
SENIOR (2016) – Purnell placed 24
th in the 400 meter (55.13) and 37
th in the 200 meter (24.91) at the Frank Colden Invitational on February 6. He placed fifth in the 400 meter (53.33) at the Philadelphia College Classic on March 19. Purnell finished sixth in the 400 meter (53.54), 14
th in the 200 meter (24.59), and second as a member of the 4x400 meter relay (3:31.82) at the St. Joseph’s Spring Opener on March 26. He finished 23
rd in the 400 meter (53.27; season best), 49
th in the 200 meter (24.50), and 10
th as a member of the 4x400 meter relay (3:44.37), while competing in the 110 meter hurdles and the 400 meter hurdles at the Danny Curran Invitational April 1-2. Purnell finished eighth in the 400 meter hurdles (1:00.61; season best), 26
th in the 400 meter (54.58), and 27
th in the 200 meter (24.37) at the Mid-Week Twilight Invitational on April 13. He placed 23
rd in the 400 meter hurdles (1:00.93), and 63
rd in the 200 meter (24.13; season best) at the Widener Invitational April 22-23. Purnell finished seventh in the 400 meter hurdles (1:02.27), 11
th in the 200 meter (24.49) and eighth as a member of the 4x100 meter relay (48.65) at the CACC Outdoor Conference Championship on May 1.
