Biography
FRESHMAN (2015) – Galantich (17gp-14gs) led a promising freshman class with 25 points on 17 goals and eight assists. She also recorded 11 ground balls, 18 draws, and three caused turnovers while successfully converting 4-of-9 (.444) free position shots. Galantich recorded her first collegiate goal in the Griffins’ 11-10 season-opening victory over Queens College on March 10 and she provided a hat trick in a 17-10 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) loss at Philadelphia University on April 16.
SOPHOMORE (2016) – Galantich (19gp-17gs) ranked second on the team in points (48), leading the team with 24 assists, and ranking fourth on the team with 24 goals. She tied for the team-lead with two game-winning goals, grabbed 16 ground balls, recorded 16 draw controls and caused seven turnovers. Galantich earned Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Award accolades, and was recognized on both the fall 2015 and spring 2016 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Rolls.
JUNIOR (2017) – As a junior, Galantich (18gp-18gs) took home the Coaches’ Award for her intangible contributions to the team on and off the field. She was third on the team in goals (28), second in assists (30) for 58 points, and first in ground balls (38). She also recorded 35 won draw controls and caused five turnovers. On April 22, her performance was unmatched and she was awarded a CACC Weekly Honor Roll mention in the 21-9 victory over Nyack College. She demonstrated an excellent academic track as well, finishing the year earning both fall and spring Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Roll recognition, she made the CACC All-Academic team, and garnered the D2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement award.
SENIOR (2018) – The captain (19gp-19gs) was a vital vessel in the Griffins offensive strategy leading the Griffins in goals (64), assists (44), and draw controls (76). She also grabbed 40 ground balls and caused 15 turnovers. Her efforts earned her three CACC Honor Roll mentions (3/12, 4/2, 4/16) and one Player of the Week (4/9) accolade. The Griffin netted her 100th goal of her collegiate career with 16:32 (3-2) remaining in the first half of 20-7 victory over Post University and finished the contest with seven points in all with a career-high six goals and an assist. She finished her collegiate career registering 133 goals, 106 assists, 105 ground balls, winning 145 draw controls, and caused 30 turnovers. Galantich’s efforts allowed her to be named on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Atlantic Region Second Team and earned All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) First Team honors. She also flourished academically earning membership in both the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Rolls, garnered a spot on the Women’s Lacrosse All-Academic Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference team, the Chestnut Hill College’s Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society, and the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad.
