Strength and Conditioning

At Chestnut Hill College,Strength & Conditioning aims to reduce the likelihood of injury while enhancing athletic performance for the student-athlete. The foundation of a student-athlete's training program is built on improving strength, power, speed, agility, quickness, flexibility, coordination, and conditioning through sports specific energy system training. Training student-athletes to perform each exercise with proper technique is a high priority and helps ensure that student-athletes are getting the most out of an exercise, while greatly decreasing the risk of injury. Mobility/stability problems and apparent weaknesses/deficiencies that a student-athlete may suffer from will be addressed individually. Student-athletes are also educated on proper nutrition and recovery techniques. Our Strength & Conditioning program is always looking to stay current on the most innovating methods and research in kinesiology and sports performance to provide the best training for our student-athletes.
