The
Academic All-America® program is the longest running and most prestigious academic and athletic awards program for student athletes.
Academic All-District® and
Academic All-America® awards have been presented by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) (formerly CoSIDA) to the most accomplished student-athletes for academic and athletic achievement each year since 1952.
Awards are sponsored in soccer, volleyball, football, basketball, baseball, softball, track and field/cross country, tennis, swimming and an at-large program that includes sports for which the NCAA sponsors a championship. All nominees must have a GPA of 3.50 or above (3.30 or above prior to 2022-23) and be a starter or important reserve.
Nominating and voting are privileges held exclusively by CSC members on behalf of student-athletes from throughout the NCAA, NAIA, Two-year Colleges and Canadian institutions.
Baseball player Jesse Daywalt became the first Chestnut Hill College athlete to earn
Academic All-District® status in 2011. Since then, a total of 24 student athletes have earned
Academic All-District® status with five athletes going on to earn the prestigious
Academic All-America® honor.
