Biography

FRESHMAN (2013) – A pitcher by choice, Kern played in ten games which included a pinch hit, a couple pinch running opportunities, four games in the Griffin outfield, and two relief appearances. Kern totaled 3.2 innings pitched in those two appearances, posting a 14.73 earned run average (ERA). At the plate, He went 1-for-4 (.250) and drew a walk.

SOPHOMORE (2014) – Kern totaled 15.2 innings over two starts and five relief appearances (7APP-2GS). He finished the season with a 1-1 record and a 10.34 ERA, allowing 18 earned runs while walking seven and striking out six.

JUNIOR (2015) – Kern earned a 2-0 record and a 4.00 earned run average (ERA) over 13 appearances (2 starts).
