Biography

FRESHMAN (2011) – As a rookie, Lites made nine starts in centerfield while making an impact on the base paths with his speed. He appeared in 22 games total, recording seven runs on a .116 (5-for-43%) batting average. He drew three walks and stole seven bases (7-of-8, 87.5%).

SOPHOMORE (2012) – Lites earned an honorable mention for Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week award on March 12 after helping the Griffins to a 1-2 week with a .500 (6-for-12) batting average and three stolen bases (3-of-4, .750). He made 27 starts, primarily in center field, and appeared in 36 contests overall. Lites finished the year with a .256 (22-for-86) batting average, 20 walks, nine runs-batted-in (RBI), and 13 stolen bases (13-of-17, 76.5%). He recorded his first collegiate homerun in the Griffins 6-5 victory over Lincoln University on March 22.
 
JUNIOR (2013) – Enjoying his best collegiate season to date, Lites started all 47 contests as the Griffins center fielder. He batted .274 (43-for-157) and carried a .390 on-base percentage while recording 30 runs and leading the Griffins in stolen bases (26-for-34, .765) from various locations in the lineup. Lites totaled nine extra base hits (five doubles and four triples), 11 RBI, and 28 walks. He made the CACC Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending May 5, after batting .500 (3-for-6) in Chestnut Hill College’s final two regular season games.

SENIOR (2014) – Lites made 30 starts (31GP-30GS) in centerfield and continued to be one of the Griffins most feared baserunners with nine stolen bases (9SB-14ATT, .643) and 17 runs scored. He batted .202 (18-for-89) with a double and two triples earning him a .360 slugging percentage (SLG%). Lites drew 11 walks for a .361 on-base percentage (OBP) and recorded 11 RBI. He earned academic recognition on the CACC Spring 2014 All-Academic Team and both the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Rolls. A dedicated member of SAAC, an orientation leader, an admissions ambassador, an accounting tutor, a Resident Assistant, The President of the Business Club, the Student Government Association Senior Class Vice-President, and one of the stars of our featured Athletics advertisement, Lites was honored at the Athletic Award Reception as the male recipient of the Athletic Director’s Award.
