Biography

JUNIOR (2016) – Baturgil transferred from Brookdale County Community College to start all 46 games (46gs-46gp) as the Griffins’ shortstop. He batted .244 (38-for-156), with a .288 slugging percentage, and a .330 on-base percentage, thanks to seven doubles and 18 walks. Baturgil also struck out 33 times and stole 11 bases (11-for-13, .846).

SENIOR (2017) – Baturgil (40gp-34gs) switched to second base and finished his senior season with a .242 (22-for-91) batting average. He totaled 13 runs and knocked in another eight, while drawing 27 walks for a solid .425 on-base percentage. Baturgil also stole 10 bases (10-of-15). Academically, he earned recognition on the spring 2017, Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Roll.
