Biography

FRESHMAN (2008) – Knipe batted .299 (38-for-127) as the starting first baseman. He played in 40 contests and led the Griffins in homeruns (4), runs-batted-in (RBI, 23) and walks (23), while finishing second in stolen bases (19).
 
SOPHOMORE (2009) – Knipe joined Jimmy Young as a team captain while providing a .297 (41-for-138) batting average, 21 RBI, and 18 stolen bases. He made 40 starts in 42 games played.
 
JUNIOR (2010) – Knipe served his second season as co-captain while continuing to knock in runs (21 RBI) despite a dip in batting average (.264, 34-for-129). He also stole 16 bases.
