Chestnut Hill College Athletics

FRESHMAN (2010) – Hopkins played a major role in the Griffin bullpen, recording 28.1 innings of work over 11 appearances. He carried a 2.22 earned-run-average (ERA) and posted a 2-0 record.
 
SOPHOMORE (2011) – Hopkins transformed into the Griffins top relief pitcher, in a team-high, 20 appearances he posted 2-3 record and a 3.32 ERA. In addition to appearances and ERA, he led the Griffin pitching staff in innings pitched (62.1) while totaling 36 strikeouts and holding opponents to a .253 (60-for-237) batting average. Hopkins was recognized with the Coach’s Award at season’s end.
 
JUNIOR (2012) - Hopkins captained the Griffin pitching staff with a 2-2 record and a 2.40 ERA over ten starts. He logged 75.0 innings and recorded two complete games while holding opponents to a .231 (63-for-273) batting average. Hopkins allowed 20 earned runs on 63 hits and 15 walks while striking out 28. He was an honorable mention for the league’s Pitcher of the Week award on March 12 and was also listed as a player to watch for the Tino Martinez Award. Hopkins earned the team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at season's end.
 
SENIOR (2013) – In his second season as a team captain, Hopkins provided a 4.28 ERA and a 5-4 record in his team-high 13 starts. Over a team-high 82.0 innings of work, he recorded a team-high 58 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .318 (106-for-333) batting average. He recorded one complete game; holding Dominican College to one run on three hits and a walk while striking out seven in the Griffins 10-1 CACC Championship Tournament win over Dominican College on Thursday, May 9. He finished his collegiate career as the Griffins all-time leader in ERA (2.52), Wins (11), Appearances (57), and innings pitched (247.2).
