Almonese Boyles

Almonese Boyles joined the Chestnut Hill College sprint football coaching staff as an assistant for linebackers prior to the 2016 season. Since April of 2015, Coach Boyles has served his country as a Civil Engineer for the United States (US) Air Force Reserves, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix in Lakehurst, New Jersey. He played three seasons of professional football in the Atlantic Indoor Football League (AIFL) and the Indoor Football Leagues (IFL) after a two-year collegiate football career at Temple University, from which he graduated in 2003.
 
Coach Boyles totaled 22 games played, 25 solo tackles, 19 assisted tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss (48 yards lost), 1.5 sacks (34 yards lost), five quarterback hurries, and one fumble recovery as a defensive back for Temple University during the 2000 and 2001 seasons. Following his 2003 graduation with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology: physical & health education, he signed a contract as a strong safety with the Rapid City Red Dogs of the IFL (2003). After a two year absence, Boyles returned to professional football as a defensive back with the Erie Freeze of the AIFL (2006). Another six year break returned Boyles to the AIFL in 2013 for a season with the York Capitals.
 
Coach Boyles began coaching football in 2014 while instructing health and physical education at Liberty Middle School (July 2014-May 2015) in Covington, Georgia. Boyles was the defensive coordinator at Liberty Middle School whose defense allowed 5.3 points per game en route to a perfect season and becoming league champions.
 
Coach Boyles graduated from West Chester University with a master’s degree in exercise sciences/sports physiology in 2012 and earned an associate’s degree in applied science for electrical and mechanical engineering in 2016. He is certified in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and is a licensed Health and Physical Education Teacher. Coach Boyles currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
