PRE-CHC - A local 5-10 sharp shooter, Cassidy came from Friends' Central, where as a junior he helped the Phoenix to a fourth straight Pennsylvania Independent Schools Tournament Championship and 22-5 record in 2011-2012.

FRESHMAN (2013-2014) – Cassidy provided several clutch shots throughout his freshman campaign, offering 18 points in a 79-76 overtime Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) loss at Bloomfield College on December 7, 2013, 16 points in 62-57 CACC win over Holy Family University on January 2, 2014, and 21 combined points in late-season wins over Georgian Court University, 81-65 on February 18, 2014, and Felician College, 87-70 on February 22, 2014. He was recognized as the CACC Rookie of the Week on February 24 and he finished the season averaging 4.2 points-per-game (PPG), and 0.8 rebounds-per-game (RPG), while totaling 16 assists and 13 steals.

SOPHOMORE (2014-2015) – With increased playing time (26GP-4GS, 25.3 minutes per game), Cassidy improved in season scoring average to 11.6 PPG while grabbing 1.8 RPG, and providing 44 assists and 31 steals. Cassidy shot .404 (97-of-240) from the field with 85% of his attempts coming from behind the arch. He finished the season with program record 80 triples (80-of-204, .392), ranking him second in the CACC. Cassidy caught fire down the stretch, setting the program's all-time mark for three-pointers in a game (8) in a 81-64 CACC win at Georgian Court University on February 17, 2015, and going off for a career-high 28 points on seven made threes (7-of-9, .778) in the subsequent triumph over Felician College (82-66 on 2/21/15). The torrid shooting streak landed Cassidy on the February 23 (#14) CACC Weekly Honor Roll.
