Mike Bowens

Mike Bowens joined Head Coach J.J. Butler’s staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2021-2022 season. His primary focus is the recruitment of the greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, metropolitan area, as well as scouting reports, the creation and implementation of the staff’s defensive game plan, and player development. Coach Bowens previously served as the associate head coach at Penn State Brandywine (2018-2021), where he served as the Nittany Lions as a defensive coordinator and recruiter.

“Having Coach Bowens on our staff is huge. He is a Philly guy through and through, having played in the PCL (Philadelphia Catholic League) and coached in the Friends League. Both are huge when it comes to recruiting local talent. He has managed to leave a lasting impression with everyone he has coached or worked with. I am eager to witness his positive impact on our staff and the young men in our program.”
