Rob Fusaro

Rob Fusaro returns to the Chestnut Hill College men’s basketball program for the 2018-2019 season. His professional experience in both coaching and basketball operations at the Division I, Division II, Division III and Junior College levels assisted in his current title of assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Griffins upcoming season. Fusaro is very familiar with Chestnut Hill College as he filled the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator position previously from June 2008 to August 2013. He was the program's primary recruiting coordinator, recruited two 1,000-point scorers and helped develop three All-CACC players.  His other responsibilities included recruiting coordinator, in-game coaching, practice and game planning, organizing and executing pre and post season individual player workouts, and creating scouting reports and game film preparation for future opponents. Additionally, he managed the scholarship budget and founded and operated the Chestnut Hill College Fall High School Basketball League. After Chestnut Hill College, he went on to become the Director of Basketball Operations for Lehigh University (August 2013 - October 2014) and the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) (April 2015 - July 2015).
 
On the coaching side, Fusaro started his career at Gwynedd-Mercy University as their assistant coach (October 2007 – June 2008). He aided in coaching the Griffins to a 21-10 finish. They were winners of the 2007 Coles Classic Tournament and runner-up in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) and at the Eastern Collegiate Athletics Conference (ECAC) South Regional Tournament. In addition, he has worked numerous basketball camps at various colleges such as Villanova University, University of Pennsylvania and University of Delaware.
 
He also was a men’s basketball assistant coach for UMBC (April 2015 – July 2015) Harcum College (July 2016 – July 2017), and Millersville University (July 2017 – April 2018).
 
Fusaro graduated from Elizabethtown College in 2007 with a bachelor’s in elementary education. He was a three-year player for the Blue Jays. Prior to college he attended Abington Friends School in Abington, Pennsylvania, where he was a three-year starter for the Kangaroos. Fusaro was selected all-league and all-area as a senior and led the Friends School League in three pointers made and three point shooting percentage.
 
Professionally, Fusaro is the founder and operator of the Chestnut Hill College Fall High School Basketball League and a private shooting instructor for many local high school and elementary children. He also has experience working the Hoop Group Top 100 camp as a basketball instructor. He currently resides in Warrington, Pennsylvania with his wife Crystalrae and daughter Harper.
