Sean Riley

Sean Riley

Sean Riley joined the Chestnut Hill College men’s basketball coaching staff as an assistant prior to the 2018-2019 season. Riley’s previous successful coaching record, coaching reputation, and specialization in skill development, will aid in elevating the Griffin’s performance during their highly-competitive season.

After playing for Central Penn College in Enola, Pa., Riley developed his own training program, IQ Sports Performance and Training, LLC, for the youth of Philadelphia (2012). The next year he transitioned into a boys’ varsity head coach position at Tacony Academy Charter High School. During his stint, he was able to create a youth program that held a 14-8 record, winning the school’s first-ever Public League Playoff game in its history. Riley’s efforts earned him the Northeast Times Coach of the Year award.

He took a short break to fill the assistant coach roster at Penn State Abington in 2017, where he stayed for one season.
He currently has ties to the respected Philly Triple Threat program, focusing on player development.
