Casey O’Rourke joined the Chestnut Hill College men’s lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant prior to the 2013 season. As a four-year student-athlete at the University of Pennsylvania, O’Rouke was a key member of the Quakers offense from 2006-2009.
O’Rourke gained valuable coaching experience as the head boys’ lacrosse coach at Lower Merion High School, where he resurrected the Aces in 2011. Although the Aces finished the season at 7-11, O’Rourke laid the groundwork for a program that graduated several key players prior to his arrival. He has also served as a coach with the Headstrong Lacrosse Club and Fever Lacrosse.
At Penn, O’Rouke totaled 36 goals, 15 assists, 51 points, and 27 ground balls for the Quakers. In his senior season, 2009, O’Rourke tied for fifth on the team for goals (9), tied for sixth in points (11). His best season came in his sophomore campaign when he ranked third on the team in points (20) with 12 goals and eight assists. He also recorded 11 ground balls that season.
O’Rourke was a U.S. Lacrosse High School All-America as a senior at the Haverford School in 2005. As the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of state championship and state semifinal games, he captained the Fords to a state championship and the best season Delaware County history. He finished the year with 62 goals and 23 assists (85 points) and earned recognition as the Fords team MVP, the 2005 Inter-Ac Player of the Year, 2005 Main Line Life Player of the Year while earning a spot on the All-State First-team, as well as the All-Delco Team and All-Eastern PA Team.
O’Rourke currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
