Biography
FRESHMAN (2012-2013) – McDonough started 21 games out of 26 in the Griffin backcourt while contributing 2.7 points-per-game (PPG), 2.5 rebounds-per-game (RPG), and 2.3 assists-per-game (APG). She also recorded seven blocks and 19 steals.
SOPHOMORE (2013-2014) – McDonough saw action in all 26 games, including 17 starts, in the Griffin backcourt. She posted averages of 5.5 PPG and 3.0 RPG while leading the team in assists (46) and finishing second with 19 three-pointers (19-of-76, .250). McDonough also recorded 23 steals and a pair of blocks. McDonough netted a career-best 19 points on 6-of-10 (.600) shooting in a 55-38 win at Concordia College (NY) on January 25.
JUNIOR (2015-16) – McDonough, a team captain, was named the team Most Valubale Player (MVP) for her performance during the 2015-16 season. She appeared in 25 games, starting 21 of them (25gp-21gs). McDonough played 855 (34.2 minutes/game), shooting .369 (99-of-268) from the field, .267 (32-of-120) from three-point land, and .587 (37-of-63) from the free throw line. She scored 267 points (10.7 points/game), grabbed 97 rebounds (3.9 rebounds/game), dished out 97 assists, swiped 31 steals (2nd on team) and registered 12 blocks. McDonough was a two-time CACC Weekly Honor Roll mention (12/7, 2/22) and also earned recognition on the Chestnut Hill College Athletics Spring 2016 Academic Honor Roll.
SENIOR (2016-2017) – McDonough’s (16gp-14gs) senior season brought 116 points (7.3 points/game), 57 rebounds (3.6 rebounds/game), 48 assists (3.0 assists/game) and the team’s Coach’s Award. She started 14 of the 16 contest she appeared before suffering an unfortunate career-ending injury in an 87-78 victory over Holy Family University on January 17, 2017. The win – the Griffins’ second over the Tigers that season – helped propel Chestnut Hill College to a subsequent victory over Philadelphia University (now Jefferson University, W, 75-69 on January 24) and a second straight CACC postseason berth. Academically, McDonough earned recognition on the Chestnut Hill College Fall 2016 Athletics Academic Honor Roll.
