With a wealth of experience in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and Division III basketball, Andrew Haman Jr. joined the Chestnut Hill College women’s basketball coaching staff prior to the 2013-2014 season. A former assistant with the Neumann University men’s basketball program and the Head Women’s Basketball Coach during Lincoln University’s (PA) transition to a NCAA Division II program, Haman has established himself as a proven leader and recruiter.

Most recently serving as an Assistant Coach for Neumann University’s men’s basketball team during the 2012-2013 season, Haman was involved in the day-to-day operations of a successful NCAA Division III basketball program. With the Knights, his talents were focused on recruiting talented student-athletes for collegiate level competition. Haman also provided the Knights with scouting reports, skill training, and an emphasis on success in the classroom and in life.

Prior to his time with the Knights, Haman served a year term as an assistant with Del Tech Vocational High School’s women’s team and a six-year stint as the Head Coach for Lincoln University’s (PA) women’s basketball program. During his time with the Lions, Haman coached the women’s program to an all-time best 19-8 (.704) record and an NCAA Division Independent Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship in 2006-2007. He later oversaw the program’s transition to an NCAA Division II institution in 2010. Haman was responsible for the team’s development, strategies, recruitment, NCAA and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA) Compliance, scheduling, and budget. Under Coach Haman, the Lions graduated 100% of their student-athletes and were highly active in their community as participants in several outreach programs and an alumni fund raising campaign.

Haman’s additional experience includes assistant positions with Cheyney University (PA), 2001-2004, Lincoln University’s (PA) men’s program (1986-2001), and Delaware County Community College, 1984-1986. He is a member of the Rhi Phi Lambda fraternity and holds a bachelor’s degree recreation with a concentration in leisure management that he completed at Cheyney University (PA) in 2004. He currently resides in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.Â
