Roxanne Monte

Roxanne Monte joined the Chestnut Hill College women’s lacrosse coaching staff prior to the 2013 season as an assistant under Head Coach Chelsea Rosiek. Before Chestnut Hill College, Monte graduated with an international business degree from Iona College, where she also played four years of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I lacrosse for the Gaels.
 
Monte was recruited out of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School to serve as a goalkeeper for the inaugural Iona College women’s lacrosse team. In her freshman season (2005), she started 15 of the Gaels first 16 contests in goal. She scooped 34 ground balls and made 162 saves for a .431 percentage and a 3-13 record. She was named the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defensive Player of the Week on March 8, 2005. Over the remainder of her collegiate career, Monte saw time in goal and on attack where she recorded a goal and four ground balls in her senior season.
 
Monte lettered in both field hockey and lacrosse at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. In 2003 she was named All-League Second Team and All-Area Honorable Mention for lacrosse. She was selected as the Most Improved Player (MIP) on her team after helping the Colonials to a Suburban One League Co-Championship. In 2004, Monte was named All-League First Team, All-Area First Team, and the Suburban One Defensive Player of the Year after helping Plymouth Whitemarsh High School to an undefeated Suburban One League Championship.
 
An exemplary student-athlete, Monte was a member of the MAAC All-Academic Team from 2006 to 2008 and a High School Academic All-American at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.
 
As a coach, Monte has had a successful four-year career with the Conshohocken Bulldogs Youth program and a three-year career as a Goalie Coordinator with the Ultimate Goal Lacrosse Club. She also coached for the Threshold Lacrosse Advanced Clinics and she currently works for Wave One Sports as a supplier of custom team sports uniforms and apparel. Monte currently resides in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
