Biography
FRESHMAN (2014) – Sanders earned an All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Honorable Mention in her first season of collegiate competition. She was the CACC Rookie of the Week on April 7, after totaling nine goals, an assist, eight ground balls, nine draws, and five caused turnovers in Chestnut Hill College’s league victories over Caldwell College (16-6 on 4/2/14) and Nyack College (16-11 on 4/5/14). Sanders started all 17 contests and finished second on the team in points (38) and goals (33) while also totaling five assists, 42 ground balls (T7th in CACC), 45 draws (10th), and 17 caused turnovers (T14th). She also qualified for the Chestnut Hill College Athletics Fall 2013 Academic Honor Roll.
SOPHOMORE (2015) – Sanders (15gp-8gs) finished the season hard, finishing with 28 points (23 goals and five assists) after recording 20 points in her final six contests. The torrid streak included a nine-point effort (six goals and three assists) in the Griffins’ CACC Championship Tournament appearance at #4 Wilmington University (L, 20-22 on April 21) that earned her a spot on the CACC All-Tournament Team. Sanders recorded game-winning goals in a 9-7 victory over Kutztown University on March 14 and a 21-11 CACC win over Post University on April 18. She was 2-of-7 (.286) on free position shots and additionally recorded 34 ground balls, 13 draw controls, and 16 caused turnovers. Sanders was also a member of the Chestnut Hill College Spring 2015 Athletics Academic Honor Roll.
JUNIOR (2016) – Sanders (19gp-18gs) recorded 32 points on 26 goals and six assists. She grabbed 36 ground balls, 12 draw controls, caused 12 turnovers, and scored two free position goals. A one-time CACC Honor Roll Selection (4/4), Sanders earned Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Award accolades, a spot on the spring 2016 CACC All-Academic Team, and was recognized on both the fall 2015 and spring 2016 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Rolls.
SENIOR (2017) – The midfielder (18gp-17gs) captained the Griffins in her senior year registering 27 goals and eight assists for 35 points. She also recorded 27 ground balls, won 17 draw controls, and caused seven turnovers. Sanders thrived academically, earning a spot on the CACC All-Academic team, won the D2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement award, and garnered a Spring 2017 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Roll recognition.
