Assistant Coach Emily Frazer joined the Chestnut Hill College women’s volleyball staff prior to the start of the 2012 season. She enjoyed two seasons as a Nation Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I student-athlete at Temple University, where she served as the Owls best server and blocker in 2011.
Frazer began attending Temple University in 2010, graduating from Mechanicsburg High School a year early. She saw limited time in her first season with the Owls only to breakout in her second season for a team-high 23 aces (2nd in Atlantic 10) and 76 blocks (1st in Atlantic 10). Offensively, Frazer totaled 82 kills in 93 sets by posting a .169 (82K-41E-243TA) hitting percentage. She also made 45 digs in addition to her team-leading service and blocking numbers. Frazer’s collegiate career was preceded by an accolade-laden high school career at Mechanicsburg (PA). Frazer led the Wildcats to back-to-back conference playoff appearance in 2008 and 2009 while reaching the 1,000-kill plateau and setting school records in blocks en route to an All-Sentinel selection. She was a three-time selection to the All-Elite 6 Pennsylvania Select Team (2007-2009) and the Mid-Penn All-Conference Team, earning distinction as a the 2010 All-Sentinel Player of the Year, the 2010 Pennsylvania Keystone Player of the Year, the 2010 Gatorade Player of the Year nominee and 2010 Pennsylvania State Volleyball Most Valuable Player (MVP). She also competed for two years (2008 and 2009) as a member of Team Revolution of the Junior Olympic Club in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and in 2007 as a member of Team Yorktowne in 2007.
In addition to coaching at Chestnut Hill College, Frazer continues to volunteer as an assistant coach for her high school alma mater. She is due to graduate from Temple University in the summer 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in sport recreation and management. Frazer currently resides in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
