Hightower is a two-sport student-athlete and a three-year captain for the Chestnut Hill College men's basketball team. In addition to providing the heart and soul of the Griffins' defense over the past four seasons on the hardwood, Hightower has recently found success on the track, leaping hurdles to a CACC Individual Championship (110-Meter Hurdles, 15.89) and program record in 2015 and contributing 16 points in the Scarlet and Gold's recent fifth place (5 of 9, 70 points) finish at the 2016 CACC Track and Field Championship. He ranks seventh all-time in field goal percentage (63-of-118, .534), second in rebounds (577), second in offensive rebounds (225), fifth in defensive rebounds (352), seventh in rebounds-per-game (5.4), second in blocks (114), and fifth in steals (128).

Hightower has been the Vice President of Chestnut Hill College SAAC since 2013. A member of the Spring 2015 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Roll, he carries a 3.11 GPA as a business administration and management major. He too was chosen to represent Chestnut Hill College at the Apple Conference in 2014-2015 before additionally attending the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum in the same year. Hightower was also featured in the CACC "Make it Yours" series.
