Taylor Mezzatesta (Forest Hill, Md.) headlined the Griffins 10
th place (10
th of 12, 313-309, +46) finish at the Le Moyne College Fall Invitational, garnering his second CACC Weekly Honor Roll mention of the season. It was Mezzatesta’s second-day score of 74 (+2), which led the Griffins, that secured his tie for 23
rd place with a two-day total of 151 (+7).
Junior Antoine Roy (Quebec, Canada) claimed the individual crown with a birdie on the playoff hole (66-73, 139, -5), but Laval University failed to hold onto their one-stroke lead over Roberts Wesleyan College, who won the event by two strokes (288-285, 583, +7).
Mezzatesta was one of three Griffins to finish among the top-50 as a day-two 77 (+5) left freshman
Jakob Lemieux (Toronto, Canada) in a tie for 39
th (78-77, 155, +11) and a second round 80 (+8) placed freshman
Michael Ruark (Galena, Ohio) in a tie for 47
th (77-80, 157, +13). Juniors,
Shawn Mayer (Brick, N.J.) and
Nick Smalley (Blue Bell, Pa.) tied for 56
th (81-78, 159, +15) and placed 73
