Bronxville, NY – (9/26/2009) – Action picked up in the second half after Chestnut Hill College and Concordia College battled through a scoreless opening period. Freshman midfielder Alyssa Radetich (Sewell, NJ ) gave the Griffins took the initial lead at 46:36. The Clippers managed to tie the contest 1-1, at 73:31, but the Griffins proved the better team with two more goals before the final horn; a 3-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win.

Junior midfielder Tara Morey (Pittsgrove, NJ ) located junior forward Lauren Riiff (Clementon, NJ ) on a corner kick at 76:41 to deliver the game-winner three minutes after the Clipper goal tied the affair. Senior forward Julie Treen (Upper Township, NJ ) gave Chestnut Hill College (7-3, 4-2) an insurance tally with an unassisted score with under two minutes remaining. The Griffins owned a 17-11 advantage in shots and an 11-6 edge in corner kicks to help freshman goalkeeper Jessica Veazey (Middletown, DE ) to her fifth win of the season.

The Griffins scored the first goal of the contest a 1:36 after halftime when a cross from freshman midfielder Jordan Wagner (New Cumberland, PA )  was scored from 15 yards out by Radetich. Sophomore midfielder Iyesha Ollivierre (Trinidad and Tobago) tied the contest for the Clippers and junior goalkeeper Jennifer Stefanskiewwicz (Omaha, Ne.) made four saves in the loss.

The women's soccer team continues their CACC schedule with a trip to Holy Family University on Tuesday, September 29. The contest will begin at 4:00 p.m.
