Philadelphia, PA – (4/13/2010) – Chestnut Hill College met Philadelphia University at the Arthur Ashe Jr. Youth Tennis Center for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match. The Rams won the match 9-0 sweeping singles and doubles play.

Freshman Pat Joson (Old Bridge, NJ) took the first set of number three singles 6-4 for Chestnut Hill College (11-10, 5-5), but freshman Kyle Burke (Wakefield, R.I.) battled back 6-3, 6-4 to ensure the Ram sweep. Freshman Joe Boyle (Doylestown, PA) fought hard at number one singles, but fell 6-3, 6-2. He and Joson teamed on the Griffins top doubles team. They fell 8-4 to sophomores Manoli Sgouros (Forest Hills, NY) and Adrian Torroella-Cruz (Gainesville, FL).

The men's tennis team welcomes Bloomfield College to campus on Thursday, April 15, for a 4:00 p.m. CACC match.
