Philadelphia, PA – (10/6/2011) – Chestnut Hill College broke a recent tradition and won this evening's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match in just three sets, as the Griffins defeated Goldey-Beacom College 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-22). Sophomore outside hitter
Alex DePalma (Shillington, PA) hit .333 (14K-1E-39TA) and led the Griffins with a match-high, 14 kills.

Ali Eberly (Orwigsburg, PA) separated Chestnut Hill College (9-12, 4-5) from Goldey-Beacom College (8-10, 3-6) with a strong turn at serve late in the opening set. She scored two aces, while senior right side
Katherine Tohanczyn (Hatfield, PA) killed four balls in the frame to power the Griffins to a 25-19 win. DePalma awoke in the second set. Killing eight sets and hustling for eight digs, she pushed the Griffins to a 2-0 lead with a 25-22 win. Four more kills from DePalma, four from junior middle hitter

Katie Schock (Allentown, PA) put the Lightning away with a 25-22 Griffin victory in the third set.
Freshman outside hitter Kadi McCoy (Dallastown, PA) led the Lightning effort with 13 kills and nine digs. Senior middle hitter Rebecca Stoffer (Middletown, DE) helped with eight kills, 16 digs, and four blocks, while junior setter Monica Dempsey (Secaucus, NJ) offered 27 assists and 14 digs.
In addition to DePalma, freshman setter
Sidney Chukuntarod (San Francisco, CA) directed the Griffin offense with 33 assists. She also supplied 11 digs and a block on defense. Benson was also a factor on both sides of the net with seven kills and five blocks. Junior libero
